He leaves behind his devoted and loving wife of 35 years, Quy Kim Nguyen Tran, and his daughter, Van Khanh Nhu Tran and her husband Raymond Tseng, and grandson Raymond Tseng Jr. He is survived by his brothers, Vinh Tien Tran & his wife Huong-Ngung Vu, Duc Tien Tran & his wife Nhu-Hue Nguyen, Quang Tien Tran & his wife Methta Tran; and also his sisters, Nhu-Hao Duong & her husband Dong Duong, Mai-Trang (Mia) Vu, Nhu-Thuy Lau & her husband Ting Lau. He is also survived by multiple nieces and nephews.rnrnAfter finishing a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at Johns Hopkins University, Dr. Tran practiced in Northern Virginia for 25 years. He was a dedicated physician who loved his profession and cared deeply about his patients. In his free time, he enjoyed traveling and golfing, in the company of his many close friends and family.rnrnThe family will receive friends on Monday, May 21, 2012 from 11am to 8pm, at the Rappahannock Room of the National Funeral Home, 7482 Lee Highway, Falls Church, Virginia 22042.
