New promising features at “Rural Market on Festive Days” festivity – Hue Festival 2018

As an activity in celebrating Hue Festival, “Rural Market on Festive Days” festivity (Thuy Thanh commune, Huong Thuy town) has become one of familiar destinations for domestic and foreign tourists. In addition to traditional activities, there are many new promising features which create attractive highlight and attract tourists in this year event.

“Rural Market on Festive Days” festivity – Hue Festival 2018 will take place from April 28th to May 2nd, 2018. Coming to “Rural Market on Festive Days” festivity, visitors will not only have a chance to discover traditional folk games such as bai choi singing, etc, but also experience locals’ daily activities such as making conical hat, making Cylindrical Sticky Rice Cake (Banh Tét), rowing on river, etc.
One of the highlights of this year festivity is Aodai program and lantern-dropping activity on Nhu Y river. The exhibition space will also be expanded together with night markets to introduce local typical products.
Being enlisted in the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, bai choi singing (a traditional folk singing in the central and south central regions of Vietnam) will be held more formally in larger scale.
