Preserving Vietnam’s Cultural Heritage

SOURCE: US Consulate General in SaigonrnrnOn behalf of Ambassador David Shear, Consul General Rena Bitter on January 15 visited the Imperial City of Hue to launch the Ambassador’s Fund for Cultural Preservation project to preserve this unique part of Vietnam’s heritage. In partnership with the Hue Monuments Conservation Center, the U.S. Mission to Vietnam will support the restoration of three historical alters honoring the ancestors of the Nguyen dynasty. Hue’s Imperial City is a UNESCO World Heritage site visited by over two million tourists each year. Through this Ambassador’s Fund project, the U.S. is helping preserve Vietnam’s culture for future generations.

Consul General Bitter meets with Thua Thien-Hue Party Secretary Nguyen Ngoc Thien

SOURCE: US Consulate General in SaigonrnrnConsul General Bitter met with Thua Thien-Hue Party Secretary Nguyen Ngoc Thien today as part of her introductory visit to Thua Thien-Hue province. The Party Secretary thanked the Consul General for U.S. support in the educational and cultural spheres. The Consul General pledged to continue to look for opportunities to promote people to people exchanges between Hue and the United States, and thanked the Secretary for the warm welcome provided on her first official visit to Hue.

SeABank Allowed To Open Branch In Hue

SeABank allowed to open additional branches (03/01/2014)rnrnThe State Bank of Vietnam issued Documents No. 9838, 9839, 9840, 9841, 9842/NHNN-TTGSNH on December 31 to permit the Southeast Asia Joint – Stock Commercial Bank (SeABank) to open two new branches in the provinces of Ca Mau andThua Thien Hue and three new branches in Ho Chi Minh City .rnrnSeABank is responsible for inaugurating these branches in accordance with Circular No. 21/2013/TT-NHNN dated September 9, 2013 on the operational network of commercial banks and the other relevant regulations. The Documents will cease to be effective if the bank fails to inaugurate these branches within 12 months from the signing date of the Documents.rnrnDH
