On October 4th, Rheinland-Pfalz State’s delegation headed by Mr. Volker Wissing, Deputy Prime Minister of the State of Rheinland-Pfalz cum Minister of Economic Affairs, Transport, Agriculture and Viniculture of Rhineland-Palatinate visited and worked with Thua Thien Hue province. Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Phuong, representatives of relevant departments and agencies attended the working session.
As informed by Mr. Volker Wissing, Deputy Prime Minister of the State of Rheinland-Pfalz cum Minister of Economic Affairs, Transport, Agriculture and Viniculture of Rheinland-Pfalz is a big State in Germany. Its strengths are industry (including chemistry industry, automotive, etc.) and viniculture. Accordingly 85% of its income is from foreign trade. Its development strategy is promoting cooperation relation with foreign partners including Vietnam. As many partners and enterprises from the Republic of Germany and Rheinland-Pfalz Sate are now doing business in Vietnam, delegates would like to research future bilateral cooperation opportunities in fields that both parties share interest.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Phuong warmly welcomed Mr. Volker Wissing, Deputy Prime Minister of the State of Rheinland-Pfalz cum Minister of Economic Affairs, Transport, Agriculture and Viniculture of Rheinland-Pfalz and high level delegation to Thua Thien Hue province. Providing information regarding local potentials and strengths, Vice Chairman Nguyen Van Phuong kindly informed that Thua Thien Hue wished to cooperate with partners and investors to develop local prioritizing fields i.e. tourism, industry, electronic, information technology and high-tech agriculture, etc. It is hoped that Rheinland-Pfalz delegation’s visit will establish new cooperation programs between Rheinland-Pfalz, German partners and Thua Thien Hue province in various fields, especially in the age of revolutionary industry 4.0.
