Theo tin http://www.thuathienhue.gov.vnrnrnOn February 26th, 2016 the conference on summarizing 2014-2015 school year of Lao oversea students and deploying 2015-2016 school year mission was held in Hue city by People’s Democratic Republic of Laos’ Embassy in Vietnam. rnrnAttending at the conference were Mr. Phomma Sidsena – Minister, Embassy of People’s Democratic Republic of Laos in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; Mr. Khamsene Phommaseng – Consul General of People’s Democratic Republic of Laos in Da Nang city; Mr. Somxay Sanamoune – Consul General of People’s Democratic Republic of Laos in Ho Chi Minh city… The conference also saw the attendance of leaders of Ministry of Education and Training and local leaders, such as Mr. Pham Chi Cuong – Deputy Director of International Cooperation Department – Ministry of Education and Training; Mr. Nguyen Dung – Vice Chairman of Thua Thien Hue Provincial People’s Committee …rnrnAs reported at the conference, totally, there were 9.295 Lao oversea students studying at 150 universities and institutes in Vietnam in 2014-2015 school year. They study at many different majors such as science – technical, security, army, economy, society… Most of Lao oversea students has been well-attached to school regulation; consciously strived to train, practice and respect Vietnam law; owned healthy life style, solidarity and mutual help. Besides, Lao oversea students also enthusiastically participated in activities of Youth Union, Women Union…, which has partly tightened the special friendship between two countries. In total, over 3.159 students were rewarded titles in studying and extracurricular activities in 2014-2015 school year.rnrnAt the conference, delegates exchanged, pointed out strong, positive points; strictly drew experiences to overcome existing limitations; worked out objectives, orientation for 2015-2016 school year. With an aim at enhancing the studying quality of Lao oversea students in Vietnam, in the 2015-2016 school year, Laos Embassy in Vietnam has asked Laos Ministry of Education and Sports to ensure that students selected for sending to study in Vietnam have a high school knowledge of average good upward. Besides, Laos Ministry of Education and Sports needs to sketch out symmetrical planning in human resource training in majors in accordance with requirements of socio-economic development in Laos innovation.
