Within ASEAN Tourism Forum held in Chiang Mai, Thailand, Thua Thien Hue province was honourably honoured and awarded 02 prizes. In detail, ASEAN Clean Tourist City 2018 – 2020 title came to Hue City and ASEAN Green Hotel 2018-2020 title was awarded to Pilgrimage Village.
This is a prestigous ASEAN prize which contributes to honor and develop enterprises’ trademark, high quality tourism products and services in region. Prizes that Thua Thien Hue province was honorably awarded on this occasion will make important contribution to sustainable development, become one of impressive values to advertise to visitors and create local tourism trademark.
On this occasion (22-26 January, 2018), Vietnam National Administration of Tourism coordinated with Hanoi city, Ho Chi Minh city, Departments of Tourism of localities (including Tourism Department of Thua Thien Hue province); as well as travel enterprises joining in Travex International Tourism Trade Fair 2018. Travex International Tourism Trade Fair – Thailand is one of major tourism trade fairs within ASEAN Tourism Forum. At the event, enterprises also had a chance to meet and cooperate in business activities. In addition, information and images of destinations, major culture, sport, tourism events in Vietnam are introduced to Asian and ASEAN visitors in general and Thai visitors in particular so that visitors can search and select destinations through travel agents. This year event brought together 322 booths from 10 ASEAN countries. Attending Travex International Tourism Trade Fair, Thua Thien Hue tourism sector promoted, advertised and introduced provincial tourism image; provided information; introduced tourism products especially Hue Festival 2018 to enterprises, international travel companies and partners in Thailand, delegates and travel agents from ASEAN countries as well as other countries having link program with ASEAN.
